Cravaughn Lacrae Maloy, 21, was convicted Tuesday by a Jefferson County jury of pimping of a child, patronizing a prostituted child, keeping a place of child prostitution inducement of child prostitution.
A co-defendant, Alicia Sykes, 22, was also arrested and charged with the same counts as Maloy. Maloy told the girl, who had recently run away from a youth home, that she would have to become a prostitute if she wanted to stay with him, according to the affidavit provided by the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office. It also says, at one point, he threatened to punch her "if she did not stand on the corner and make money.
The affidavit says Sykes took photos of the teen in lingerie at a motel and then posted them as part of an escort ad on the website Backpage. The teen said she had sex with at least a dozen men while staying at the couple's home between June 23 and July 1 of Actions Facebook Tweet Email.
