Consumption of alcohol is to be banned, as well as street sellers and prostitutes. According to municipal authorities, the new measures are the result of hundreds of denuncias from residents demanding better security in their streets. Some disagree with the new rules, but the majority appear to approve of the bylaws to enforce public responsibility and civic behaviour, not just to recover what is a clear loss of tourist interest in the town but also the general feeling of well-being of the population generally.
