Pros - Very clean. The room and bathroom were spacious with good lighting and plenty of wardrobe space. The lady who worked in the bar area long dark hair with a huge smile was lovely, friendly and always helpful. Terrace area was small but just right on a hot sunny day. Contrary to other reviews, the hotel is not situated near any restaurants or bars. The 'double' bed was 2 singles pushed together, not ideal.
Worst of all, the hotel is located right next to an alley way which is frequented by several prostitutes, every night - very unpleasant having to walk by in the evenings. The breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly especially me do the reception they anything to help you. We had a 4 night stay in mid-April and enjoyed every minute, no doubt helped by the daytime temperatures of 24C and night-time 13C The hotel is easily reached by train from the airport to Angel Guimera station, and is just a few minutes walk from Central market and La Lonja.
We chose a room on the 4th floor away from the lifts and although the view was not inspiring, it was wonderfully quiet and very well appointed. The staff were very friendly and obliging, breakfast was terrific and bar prices were very reasonable. Thoroughly recommended. Stayed here for a weekend with friends and the hotel was nice, smart, new and clean with good facilities and helpful staff. The breakfast is a reasonable spread of breads, cold meats, fruit, eggs, bacon, etc.
Please don't expect a comprehensive fried English spread - it's not what's on offer. However it's a satisfying well-presented selection which is more than adequate for breakfast needs. The location is great - right next to the central market and central town centre.
It's down a short quiet road. There's a small terrace at the top which serves well for a relaxation. It's not a huuuuge area and the 'pool' is only suitable for a dip to cool off - it's not intended to be a large pool. But the area is nice and smart and there's a bar service for drinks, etc.
