We started seeing these women sitting on chairs on the side of the road outside of some small towns really far from anything. We kinda figured the were prostitutes.
Some were pretty decent looking at 80kph. We were trying to figure out how it worked there. Do you pull off the road and do it in your car? Do you pull off the road and get robbed? Do they have a place in town you go to?
How do they get there? They take the bus? Is there a pimp involved? Or did we have it all wrong and these poor girls just needed a ride to church? It's usually truck drivers who use their services. We were driving at about clicks an hour. Dark, craggy, and apart from the passing traffic it would be considered isolated.
I saw a lady standing by the curbside in the sand by some trees. There was a large black plastic bag by her side. Lots of makeup, attractive, and well dressed. Something seemed not-quite-normal. It was a strange place for such a lady to just be hanging out. Within a couple of minutes, I saw another. My mind subconsciously twigged. It was the third spotting, two ladies in matching mini-skirted uniforms, that erased any doubt in my mind.
I had entered the lands β of the Polish forest whores. Thanks, this was pretty much our same reaction. Good thing we didn't stop as we had not been to the Polish ATM yet. How embarrassing! In the most cases you just pull off the road, pay and do what you've paid for in your car or outside. I've heard about one group where the pimp was broadcasting via radio their position and prices. The most disgusting thing with those girls is that they don't have any access to shower or clean water and just imagine how could they smell on warm days or even in hot summer after few customers :D.
