Had lunch on Sunday. Place was busy and the atmosphere was great. Staff very helpfull. Free Ouzo during the meal. Free salad as starter and a free dessert after the meal. A tad expensive but considering the large portions nothing to complain about.
Great food. Well prepared and tasty. Food was actually pretty good, and plenty of it. Free, cheap ouzo was a bit annoying though and the service was smug. And when I checked my receipt against the amount charged to my US credit card, there seems to be a few more Euro tacked on.
That adds up to a cheat and a rip-off, and explains their smarmy, smug attitude. They don't care about you. Been here for the second time, and again a fantastic experience. Huge and delicious food, served by friendly and very efficient staff. We certainly will come again.
Highly recommended. I went to Asteria a few days ago with some friends and had a great time. The food was delicious with very large portions and the service was super. The location is also ideal; right beside Eberswalder Str. U-Bahn and near many bars. I've been to Greek restaurants in a couple of different countries, but in Germany - it's a whole different ball game and these guys are THE place to get your opinion. The waiters are more like hosts and you will be treated like a guest, not a client.
The white house wine was the best house wine we've ever had, the food, in general, was excellent. Two warnings before you stop reading: the size of each dish is very big and go easy on the ouzo.
