Reviewed December 20, via mobile When we first arrived, we saw the lobby, which seemed really nice. Thy showed us to our room and When they say "pod" they mean it. The foot of the bed was less than 1m from the toilet. How do they expect me to stay in a city famous for spicy food in a room without a door??
Oh the irony! On top of that the smell of smoke was overwhelming, even by Chinese standards. So we asked if we could see a different, bigger room. They showed us to a room on the third floor no elevator. When we entered the room, the smell of urine was more pungent than a public squaty potty. So we were faced with the dilemma, what would we rather smell, smoke or piss?
We chose smoke. This hotel is so blatantly a chain of sex hotels in Chengdu. Outside the hotel was littered with call cards for prostitutes. So if you are into that, the Pod Inn is perfect for you. Other than that avoid at all costs. The only good thing about this hotel was that they allowed us to check out a day before we had initially planned and gave us a full refund.
